...and it couldn't have been better. I think it's safe to say with the baby coming and usual trips around the hoildays that this Christmas was the only Christmas Kris and I will ever have alone, at least for years and years to come.
It was perfect.
A Christmas Eve candlelit choir at a local Catholic church, a walk around Huntington Beach's most famous "Christmas lights" neighborhood (I've never seen anything like it), dragging the mattress into the living room to sleep under the Christmas tree, dancing around the room to "The Nutcracker" (sorry, i tried to fuzz out my stomach in that one...), making Wassail for the first time, and laughing our heads off while watching "A Christmas Story".

P.S. The crowning moment for me was Christmas morning...there was a box we already opened under the tree that I went to throw out while we were cleaning up the room but it felt like it had something in it. Kris stood there smiling as I reached inside and pulled out a "blurb" hardback photobook with a HUNDRED PAGES, filled with our favorite memories from our first year of marriage (you can preview a few of those pages here in case you want to make one too: http://www.blurb.com/bookstore/detail/447707 )
I'm not much of a crier but as soon as I saw the cover and realized what it was, I burst into tears and continued crying while we flipped through every page.

I thought your husband was the lucky one for the longest time. After seeing that book, I can tell you are a match made in heaven. You are both fortunate to have eachother.
Wow Kris is a super impressive husband. He should give out pointers for other men to make their woman swoon. You guys are so cute.
Does that yard have fake snow complete with a fake child throwing snow balls? Wow. Now there is some Christmas decorating spirit.
Ahhh- such a sweet Christmas. I am so glad things are going so well. I can't wait for what the next year is going to bring! You are an awesome couple.
