Somewhere out there...

You will find Cathy...
sitting in a hotel in Guadalajara, Mexico.

You will find Kris...
sitting in a hotel in San Francisco.

Thanks to my ever-convenient and flexible job (which makes me pinch myself every now and then) I was able to book my business trip when he had his.

Here I am...there he is.

Business is business no matter where you go...although I'll bet he is not fearing for his life every time he gets in a taxi or having to drum up the old mission language to understand what's going on. Or even wincing in pain because what they call a massage at the hotel spa is, in fact, someone rolling a hard plastic object up and down your backbone! OUCH

P.S. Lima, Peru still wins for worst massage ever (imagine one hand non-chalantly pressing lightly and sporadically around your back while the other one holds the cell phone to her ear while she chats). Not kidding.

ULTIMATE what???

Frisbee, that's right!

Two girls on each team at all times...that's the tournament rules. Well, if we're playing, we're dressing up. And we bring a flare...not to mention most of the points...it's TRUE!

P.S. And MAJOR bonus points for supporting Kris in his favorite hobby.

CathyCook

My new screen name on www.allrecipes.com! Yes, she cooks now!

My family is probably in hysterics...HOWEVER, oh doubting ones, except for the pumpkin enchilada and weird eggplant creation I experimented on Kris with...he thinks I'm getting pretty good at this (so he says).

You need to check out this site. It's awesome. Type in a few things you have in your fridge and see what recipes pull up, read reviews, or post your own! I've made one review so far...CathyCook is going professional.

Persuasion and love unfeigned...

Last night we took baby pics of a three-day old, Ryann Rachel Cannon. Isn't that adorable? [Side note: this is harder to take than it looks - Kris did a great job]

For more really really cute pics of Ryann go to www.photographybytof.blogspot.com.

While they were setting up the lighting Kris took this picture of me and begged me to post it. His cute insistance was persuasion enough.

Tree House Conference

Last year Kris went to a treehouse conference.

Yes, my husband flew up to Oregon to meet with some of the most "interesting" characters in this country and learned how to build treehouses.

This summer we are taking a big roadtrip to Vancouver, Canada. On the way up he wants to stop over at the Redwood Forest to introduce me to something he learned at that conference...

TREE CLIMBING.

I can't decide if I'm Wendy, Tinkerbell, or a mix of the two but I definitely married Peter Pan. How lucky am I?

Dance like no one is watching...

Have you ever been to a wedding where they have a photobooth for guests that projects the pictures live on the wall? Very cool. Naturally, we had to take advantage - being the photographers for the event and all. (www.photographybytof.blogspot.com)

As the night was wrapping up, only a few guests remained mingling, the music in the background was low, the clubhouse staff began the hours of post-party clean-up, the bride and groom had long since left and Kris led me to the dancefloor. I kicked off my shoes and we danced like no one was watching.

Only apparently they were...and they tried to take pictures of us with our cameras...lol. Good memory.

Which one is Kris? Which one is Alan?

First off, my husband is hot. Indisputable.

Secondly, who is Alan Tudyk? This name meant nothing to me before I met Kris. But now that people on the street, in airports, on blog posts and on the beach are stopping Kris and asking for his autograph I found out that Mr. Alan Tudyk is a Hollywood moviestar and everyone thinks that my husband is Alan.

This could prove to be very entertaining during our time here in Orange County.

Isn't it obvious?
